Welcome to St. Michael's Anglican Church in Canmore.  St. Michael's is a place where you will find a warm welcome no matter where you are from or where you are on your spiritual journey.  We love people and if you are a visitor to Canmore, we hope you will join us; if you have moved here recently, we hope you'll join us; and if you've been here "since forever" we hope you will join us and become part of what's happening here.  Our church was built by the miners of Canmore and we have just celebrated 125 years in our much loved Historic Church.

Due to the pandemic, our 9am and 10:30am in-person servives are suspended. Join us for our online services Sunday's at 10am!

What is the 9:00 am Sunday Service like?

Our welcoming community gathers in the Historic St Michael Church at 9:00am.  If you enjoy the traditional Anglican form of worship from the Book of Common Prayer this service might be just right for you.  We sing, pray, listen to and think about God's word and share in Holy Communion. The people who come to this service are a warm and caring lot,

What about the 10:30 am Sunday Service?

If you're a little more laid-back, you may prefer our 10:30 am service. Held in the cheerful Fellowship Hall, a more contemporary, participatory liturgy is accompanied by great worship music. There are no pews or books.  An informal group of chairs and use of a large projection screen, allows for movement and fellowship.  It's a place where kids can be kids, with Sunday School offered during the service.  We share God's love through his word, prayer and the sacraments of Holy Communion. Everyone is welcome to coffee and goodies following the service.

Where do I park?

You can park your car on either side of the street, in the alley behind or in the public parking lot just across the street. Please park your bikes in the rack provided.

What do I wear?

Come as you are. Canmore is an active community.  If you're on your way to a fancy brunch or finished a morning trek - don't worry about what you're wearing.  We understand and embrace our varied lifestyles, just as God accepts us as we are.
