On November 3rd we remember Richard Hooker.Doctor of the Church. On any list of great English theologians, the name of Richard Hooker would appear at or near the top. His masterpiece is The Laws Of Ecclesiastical Polity. Its philosophical base is Aristotelian, with a strong emphasis on natural law eternally planted by God in creation. On this foundation, all positive laws of Church and State are developed from Scriptural revelation, ancient tradition, reason, and experience. For more infomation visit:

Food bank Sunday.
It is Food bank Sunday, please share whatever you can. As per Cathy from Bow Valley Food Bank, they are very much in need of canned (chunky or regular) or packaged (ramen etc) soups, hamburger helper, sidekicks and anything else hearty that will help folks get through the frigid temps that are fast approaching. Many thanks! |

GoFundMe for Liz and her daughter Nicole.
As many of you already know, Liz and her daughter lost the place they rented due to the fire on September 16th. Luckily, no one got hurt but they lost pretty much everything they had... Their favourite items, clothes and memories are gone. They have insurance but it will take a long time before they will get any money. Hotel where Nicole is working offered them temporary accommodation but still it's not cheap. Due to the housing crisis in Bow Valley, both ladies are struggling right now to find an affordable accommodation. Liz and Nicole were born and raised in Canmore and their family have been members here for over 100 years now. If you can, donate as every penny matters. ATCO offer an annual furnace and hotwater tank inspection service for customers.
Pat Grayling has reminded us that ATCO offer an annual furnace and hotwater tank inspection service for customers. The service includes an approximately 30 minute visit from a technician who will check safety and function and monitor wear and tear over the years. Appointments can be booked with ATCO Gas by telephoning 310.5678.
The service is 'free' because we are already paying for the cost as part of our monthly service fees.
