Fundraiser for Ukraine.

Food and Friends served 305 meals on Monday night. All donations will be directed to the Canadian Red Cross Ukrainian Fund. Those donations totaled $1,037.20!
The delicious perogy dinner was supported by thirteen volunteers and their supervisor from the Canmore Collegiate High School. The students came in early and enthusiastically set up tables, chairs and place settings, served on the buffet and dessert tables, washed dishes and managed the guest check-in. Food and Friends looks forward to their return on Monday, November 20.

On November 3rd we remember Richard Hooker.

On November 3rd we remember Richard Hooker.

Doctor of the Church.

On any list of great English theologians, the name of Richard Hooker would appear at or near the top. His masterpiece is The Laws Of Ecclesiastical Polity. Its philosophical base is Aristotelian, with a strong emphasis on natural law eternally planted by God in creation. On this foundation, all positive laws of Church and State are developed from Scriptural revelation, ancient tradition, reason, and experience.

Food bank Sunday.

Food bank Sunday.

It is Food bank Sunday, please share whatever you can.  As per Cathy from Bow Valley Food Bank, they are very much in need of canned (chunky or regular) or packaged (ramen etc) soups, hamburger helper, sidekicks and anything else hearty that will help folks get through the frigid temps that are fast approaching.

Many thanks!

ACW Christmas Tea & Bazar.

ACW Christmas Tea & Bazar.

The ACW is excited to invite everyone to our Christmas Tea & Bazaar on November 25 in the Church Hall. Bring along a neighbour or a friend for a little taste of Christmas. Fancy tea with home baked goodies, along with crafts, gifts, a draw basket, and of course our famous Bake Sale. Our local Girl Guides will be helping out and selling cookies, too. Start the festive season with a cozy cup of our hospitality!
Your donations of crafts, re-gifts and baking heartily welcome!  Talk to Pat or Theresa.
GoFundMe for Liz and her daughter Nicole.

GoFundMe for Liz and her daughter Nicole.

As many of you already know, Liz and her daughter lost the place they rented due to the fire on September 16th. Luckily, no one got hurt but they lost pretty much everything they had... Their favourite items, clothes and memories are gone.  They have insurance but it will take a long time before they will get any money. Hotel where Nicole is working offered them temporary accommodation but still it's not cheap.  Due to the housing crisis in Bow Valley, both ladies are struggling right now to find an affordable accommodation.

Liz and Nicole were born and raised in Canmore and their family have been members here for over 100 years now.  If you can, donate as every penny matters.
