Christ the King Sunday

St. Michael Anglican Church
Last Sunday after Pentecost - November 26th 2023
Advent Study.

Advent Study.

The Advent Study (in person) offering begins on Tuesday, Nov. 28th. We begin with a modest soup and bread supper at 5:30 p.m. and then as we move toward 6:00 p.m. we begin our study. Fr. Bryan will provide the first soup and bread supper offering and would love it if those who attend would step up and take on one of the next Tuesdays - Dec. 5, 12 or 19. There will be a signup at the first gathering.

The second method of the Advent Study is a take home or take to work variety. The Advent Study Booklets will be at the back of the church and at the entrance to the Hall from Sunday onwards. There is no charge for the material. You are encouraged to take it home and as you have time in your schedule engage in the study at home.
The title of the study is “Living Well Through Advent 2023 - Practicing Wonder with All Your Heart, Soul, Strength, and Mind”.

It is my hope that we will have a wonder filled Advent as we prepare for the celebration of the birthing in time of the timeless one.

With prayer for a blessed Advent,

Bryan +

On November 23rd we remember St.Clement of Rome.

On November 23rd we remember St.Clement of Rome.

Bishop and Martyr.

Can you imagine what it would have been like to be taught personally about Jesus by the apostle Paul or Peter? Clement of Rome was a first-century convert who had that incredible privilege. If you look in your New Testament at Philippians 4:3, you will see a Clement referred to who very well could be the same Clement we are looking at in this issue.

Candlelight Service of Remembrance

Candlelight Service of Remembrance

“ Each year for the past few years when the conditions allowed, the Community Candlelight Service was held. This service is designed to provide to any who need a time of quiet, prayer, contemplation, remembrance and healing during the run up to the celebration of Christmas. As we all know Christmas can bring with it many emotions and memories some of which are burdensome. All are welcome to take part in this special service , to pause and remember and perhaps lighten the load of the Christmas season. The service will take place in the Church with a time of fellowship to follow on Thursday, Dec. 7th @ 7:00 p.m."

Thank you note.

Thank you note.

Liz and her daughter Nicole would like to say "thank you" to everyone who donated to their GoFundMe, supported with the prayer, hug or offered their time.
