The book of Hebrews, chapter 10: 23 - 25 states, "Let’s hold firmly to the confession of our hope without wavering, for He who promised is faithful; and let’s consider how to encourage one another in love and good deeds, not abandoning our own meeting together, as is the habit of some people, but encouraging one another; and all the more as you see the day drawing near".
Worship in the Christian Community is important. Here at St. Michael's Church, we worship every Sunday at 10.00am, and on some other Christian Festival days. At our services, we worship together through the singing of hymns and choruses, we have biblical readings, biblical teaching on one of the readings, intercessory prayer, and Holy Communion. After the service refreshments are served. Refreshments are a good way to make yourself known to us and we would love to see you.
If you are not feeling well, please use a little wisdom, and if possible, please stay home. If you are attending the service and to limit your exposure to those who may have compromised immune systems, please wear a mask.
In a world that can be overwrought, insecure, and isolating, our Sunday morning worship at St Michael's offers a space and a place to connect with others and with something beyond the next thing on your calendar. When you join us for worship, you will find a comfortable, informal place where you can have conversations and develop friendships; a place where you are free to be yourself; and a place that offers a conversations about God.
Each Sunday, you will hear teachings from the Bible, consider how they connect with your life, and be encouraged in those areas of your life where you could use some hope or wisdom. Our worship draws from the rich traditions of the Christian Church across the ages and is offered in a way that is accessible to our Bow Valley culture today. St Michael's is a community made up of all ages doing life together.
