Welcome and Congratulations!

We are delighted that you are thinking about making St. Michael's, a part of your wedding celebration. A few verses from the bible with regards marriage to reflect upon. Genesis 2 v 24, Matthew 19 v 4-6, and Colossians 3 v 18-19. Christian Marriage is held in very high regard. The Book of Alternative Services reads: “Marriage is a gift of God and a means of God’s grace. It is a way of life that all should reverence, and none should lightly undertake.”

To help both you and the church, we would like to invite you to any of our Sunday services, which begin at 10.00am. After the service and over refreshments, you can make yourself known to the parish priest and we can take your enquiry from there. Alternatively, if distance is difficult, please complete our wedding enquiry form Wedding Enquiry Form and at the earliest opportunity the parish priest will contact you to discuss your date(s), church availability and requirements.

You will be required to undertake a marriage preparation course. At St. Michael's Church, marriage preparation is open to people at all stages of their spiritual journey – everyone is welcome! Detailed information on each component of your wedding are shown on this site. Please feel free to contact us at any time with specific questions.

Even more importantly, we want to do all we can to help you build the strongest possible Christian marriage as you begin your new life together. We hope this will be a time in which you come to know God’s love in Jesus Christ, either for the first time, or in a deeper way.
