Jesse Holland is the incumbent priest here at St. Michael's Church in Canmore. With over forty years experience of church based ministry, including working with Youth For Christ, schools work, and chaplaincy, and over twenty eight years of experience in ordained ministry in the Anglican Church, which includes working within the Church of England and The Anglican Church of New Zealand, Jesse entered the Anglican Church of Canada, on the 1 December 2024.
Jesse studied theology in London and Oxford and holds a BA (Hons) degree in Theological and Pastoral Studies from Middlesex University, and a M.Th degree in Applied Theology from the University of Oxford.
He describes himself as an exegete and believes that both church and society have nothing to fear from honest biblical scholarship. His philosophy is ‘to live it fully and explain it simply, you need to understand it profoundly’.
